Watcharee will launch her new Thai Yellow Curry Sauce at the KeHe Natural Show in Austin, Texas on October 4-5.  "Thai yellow curry, which is called as kaeng kari in Thailand, is a mild curry and beloved Thai comfort food with origins in India," said Watcharee.  "Our yellow curry sauce is high in turmeric and cumin, which are believed to promote longevity.  In Thailand we serve yellow curry with a Thai cucumber relish called ajat to add a bit of zing."

Seared Sesame-encrusted Tuna with Pad Thai Sauce

2/3 cup WATCHAREE'S Pad Thai Sauce

4 fresh tuna steaks (4-6 ounce/1 inch thick)

½ cup white sesame seeds

¼ cup black sesame seeds

3 tbs rice bran oil or other healthy oil

Rub tuna lightly with oil.  Combine white and black sesame seeds on a plate.  Press each piece of tuna into sesame seeds to coat evenly.

Heat a frying pan and warm the oil over high heat until smoking, Add tuna and sear until white sesame seeds turn golden brown - about 45 second to one minute per side.  Remove seared tuna from pan and slice to ¼ inch thick slices.  Arrange on serving plates and drizzle WATCHAREE'S Pad Thai sauce just before serving.  Serve with salad, brown rice, Thai jasmine rice, quinoa salad or soba noodles.

If you would like to serve as an appetizer, cut tuna across the grain to make small blocks, sear and cut each block into ½ thick slices.  Serve on small dishes or spoons. Enjoy!
